It has gone through a full cabinet refinishing and what I refer to as a hybrid restoration on the inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"448\" data-end=\"653\"\u003eWith a piano of this age, the goal is to preserve the original structure—the plate and soundboard—while replacing or rebuilding the components that wear out over time. That’s exactly what’s been done here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"655\" data-end=\"1065\"\u003eThis piano has received a substantial amount of new material, including new hammers, dampers, shanks, felts, leathers, cloth, bushings, and new keytops. At the same time, original components that were still structurally sound—like the hammer butts—have been carefully refurbished, including repinning and new leather where needed. The entire action has been aligned, lubricated, tightened, and fully regulated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1297\"\u003eThe cabinet has been completely refinished, and cosmetically it presents very well. Details like a replica decal, replated pedals, new casters, and fully cleaned and restored trapwork all contribute to a very complete restoration.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1541\"\u003eFrom a performance standpoint, this piano has a full, rich tone with a strong bass and a clear, well-defined treble.
