News - Brigham L. Wins an iPad!

Brigham L. Wins an iPad!

We recently posted about our students who competed in and were chosen as finalists for the Piano Marvel YouTube Competition. In addition to the monetary prizes awarded to the winners in each age group category, each contestant in the competition was also entered into a drawing for an iPad. One of our students to be chosen as a finalist in his age group, Brigham L., also won the drawing for the iPad.

Piano Marvel often promotes practicing and the learning of music by holding drawings for iPads like the one Brigham won. For example, our students participated in both the hymn and Christmas learning challenges last December in which students perfected hymns and Christmas songs on Piano Marvel. Each hymn or Christmas song that was perfected counted as an entry into a drawing to win an iPad. Sadly, none of our students actually won those drawings, though a lot of good hymns and Christmas songs were learned! So Brigham is actually the first, at least to my knowledge, of our students to win one of Piano Marvel's iPad drawings. And that is very exciting for all of us here at the Utah Piano Conservatory.

But Brigham is probably the most excited of all of us. He has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of his iPad. It hasn't quite been delivered yet but soon will be. I think he's excited for all the games he will be able to play on his iPad. I'm excited for all of the Piano Marvel he will be able to use it for.

We're very proud of Brigham and the hard work and effort he put into learning "All of Me" by Jon Schmidt, his piece for the YouTube competition. You can go over to our YouTube channel and take a listen yourself. Congrats, Brigham! Have so much fun with your new iPad!
