"I love that a piano TECHNICIAN/tuner came and took care of issues with my piano that my prior tuners had not resolved. Specifically, a damper that wasn't falling and a damp chaser that needed servicing. My piano sounds great now and I love playing it now that these issues are fixed." —Tina Stevens

Piano Tuning FAQ

How often should I tune my piano?

We recommend tuning every 6 to 12 months—especially if it’s a new piano, played regularly, or in a space with fluctuating climate.

Skipping tunings can lead to pitch instability or more costly work later. Book your piano tuning now and keep your piano in peak condition.

How do I know if my piano needs a tuning?

If your piano sounds off-pitch, has notes that clash, or just doesn’t feel quite right to play, it’s likely time for a tuning.

Most pianos should be tuned at least once a year—more often if they're played regularly. If you're unsure, give us a call and we’ll help you evaluate it. Schedule your tuning here to get your piano sounding the way it should.

What happens during a professional piano tuning?

During a tuning, an expert piano technician will adjust the tension of all 200+ strings to bring your piano back to A440 concert pitch.

It’s a careful, precise process that restores both pitch and musical integrity. If the touch feels uneven or sluggish, we can also check if your piano needs a regulation.

You can also request a FREE restoration or refinishing evaluation & estimate at the same time as your tuning!
