    This fully rebuilt 1911 Schaeffer upright piano is a beautifully restored example of early 20th-century American craftsmanship. Originally built in Chicago—the heart of piano manufacturing at the time—this instrument has now been completely remanufactured in our shop to play and look like new.

    The piano features a professionally refinished case, replated original brass hardware, new keytops, and a full internal rebuild: new strings, new hammers, new German bass strings, freshly torqued tuning pins, and a re-lacquered soundboard. The plate has been refinished with a durable automotive epoxy, and all action components have been replaced and precisely regulated.

    Pianos built during this golden era were equivalent to a $40,000 instrument in today’s dollars, and now—after restoration—this Schaeffer upright is ready for another hundred years of music. We offer nationwide shipping and financing.
