Hear Your Player Piano Sing Again—Just Like It Did 100 Years Ago

Imagine your vintage player piano—silent for decades—restored to full working order, playing rolls just like it did a hundred years ago.

1910 Shattuck Heirloom Player Piano – Fully Restored

This 1910 Shattuck upright player piano came to us as a cherished heirloom from a local family.

The oak cabinet—quarter-sawn with that beautiful "tiger" wood—was brought back to its original natural finish, a difficult process that turned out beautifully thanks to our team’s closed-pore refinishing technique.

We replated the original pedals in-house and applied a replica decal to preserve the historical look. Inside, we rebuilt the entire player system from the ground up—new bellows, tubing, rubberized cloth, and a fully airtight reservoir—so now it plays smoothly under vacuum just like it did over a century ago.

We also installed new strings, tuning pins, and action components, and refinished the cast iron plate using our signature two-part epoxy paint for a clean, durable finish. This piano is now fully functional and ready for another generation of music!

"Brigham Larson is by far the best place for piano restoration! The entire team was kind and informative throughout the process. I was able to meet with Brigham personally and talk about the best options for restoration vs. refurbishment of a 100yr heirloom piano. I never felt pressured to do one or the other. He was honest and truly an expert. We were able to put together a custom plan to fit our family’s needs. The sound and quality is amazing. Highly recommend!" —Amy Card

"I have a 45 year old piano that has a great deal of sentimental value as it is the piano my dad gave me as a young girl. Me and my children have learned to love and play music at this piano. Unfortunately, the piano had taken a beating as we have moved cross country multiple times. My dad recently passed away and I wanted to restore the piano. A friend of mine recommended Brigham Larson Pianos and I’m so glad she did. The entire restoration process has been amazing. They listened to what I wanted, made recommendations and kept me updated every step of the way. Today they delivered my piano and I am thrilled with the restoration! It is absolutely beautiful and is exactly what I envisioned! From pickup to delivery the people at Brigham Larson Pianos have been extraordinary! Thank you for restoring a piece of my childhood and a piece of my heart. It is beautiful!" —Kellie Bray

"I highly recommend this company if you're looking for piano services. I have a very old player piano (inherited from my grandmother) and not only did we need our piano tuned, but a note stopped playing. The first company I called (just the first name I saw when I Googled piano tuning) had a technician come out and tell me they wouldn't be able to fix the note that wasn't playing unless they took out the player system and there'd be no way to put the player system back in. I was told it was the only option and unless I had a professional who specialized working with "old" player pianos (which I was told would cost thousands of dollars) I just needed to accept that the piano had a good life and it was time to say goodbye to that unique feature. I almost said yes!! Thank goodness my husband stepped in and said we would look around at all our options before letting them destroy our player. I called Brigham Larson Pianos, I told them what was going on and what the past technician said, they sent a technician out, and within a couple hours I had all piano keys working, all keys tuned, and the player was still in tact and in perfect working condition! I can't express how grateful I am for the care and work Scott did! He saved our piano!! --A unique and very special player piano to our family! Don't look any further --you'll be in good hands with Brigham Larson Pianos!" —Alli Pugh
