1900 Steinway & Sons Model A 6' Art-Case Wood Finish Grand Piano

This 1900 Steinway & Sons Model A 6' grand piano has been completely restored by our workshop and now stands as a remarkable example of historic craftsmanship combined with renewed performance. The piano features a beautiful natural wood finish that highlights the extraordinary original veneer, allowing the character and elegance of this century-old instrument to shine.

The cabinet has been fully refinished to showcase the rich grain of the wood, while preserving the timeless Steinway design with its elegant legs, lyre, and classic proportions.

Inside, the piano has undergone a complete mechanical restoration. The action has been rebuilt with new hammers, shanks, wippens, dampers, keys, bushings, strings, and tuning pins, restoring the touch, responsiveness, and reliability expected from a professional Steinway instrument. The cast iron plate has also been refinished, completing the restoration both structurally and visually.

Musically, this Model A offers the rich, expressive tone Steinway pianos are known for. At softer dynamics the tone is warm and dark, while stronger playing opens the sound with clarity and brilliance.
