1969 Howard 5' Walnut Wood Finish Baby Grand Piano

This refurbished 1969 Howard baby grand piano was built by Kawai—one of Japan’s most respected piano manufacturers. While branded as Howard, everything about this instrument, from the plate to the soundboard to the action, is distinctly Kawai. At 5 feet, it’s a great fit for home use, offering solid tone, compact size, and the smooth, responsive touch Kawai is known for.

We've given this piano a full refurbishment in our shop. All original 1969 components have been carefully cleaned, realigned, reshaped, lubricated, and regulated to perform as close to new as possible. While we didn’t replace parts like hammers or dampers—because they’re still in great condition—we did take it through the same meticulous checklist we apply to all our refurb projects.

Cosmetically it’s in solid condition—probably a B+, with only minor blemishes—and functionally, it’s an A, ready for decades of continued use. Nationwide shipping and financing available.
