This 2000 Yamaha DGP1 is a 5'2" baby grand that combines Yamaha’s proven build quality with a fully refurbished action and a modern upgraded player system.

At 5'2", this piano fits comfortably in most homes while still delivering the touch and tonal character of a true grand. Yamaha pianos are known for their consistency and reliability, and this one is no exception.

Given its age, this piano has gone through a complete refurbishment process. That includes detailed action work—cleaning, alignment, lubrication, tightening, full regulation, hammer reshaping, repinning, and knuckle work. The goal with that process is to bring the performance back as close as possible to new. The result is a smooth, responsive action with consistent control across the keyboard.

Tonally, it has that classic Yamaha clarity—clean, articulate, and balanced, with enough brightness to project well in a home environment.

The player system has also been fully upgraded. Originally designed with an older disc-based system, it now features a modern digital player with a large music library and full control over volume and playback. You can have it play softly in the background or fill the room when needed—it’s a very flexible system.

What I like about this Yamaha DGP1:

    • 5'2" baby grand — practical size for most homes
    • Fully refurbished action for reliable performance
    • Clear, balanced Yamaha tone
    • Modern upgraded player system (no discs required)
    • Wide music library with adjustable playback and volume

As with every piano in my shop, this instrument has gone through final prep—regulation refinement, voicing, and tuning to A-440.

This is a good fit for someone who wants both a quality acoustic piano and the convenience of a modern player system. It works well for everyday enjoyment, entertaining, or simply having music in the home without needing to sit down and play.
