The Robinson Family Piano!
The Robinson Family Piano!
Maybe more appropriate for Father’s Day. My husband remembers very fondly their family piano. They had very few “luxuries” in life as he was one of eight, raised on a farm in Coalville. Our parents are all gone now, but I know of no one more deserving than my husband, Darrell.
He served a mission in Western Samoa, served in US Army in Alaska (one war training exercise - slept in a tent at 72 degrees below zero), and has worked more hours, more years than anyone I know personally (mostly 60-80 hours per week). We had 3 biological children and ended up with 7 after being foster parents for years. He now has cancer and long haul covid which severely changes his activities. Always the energizer bunny, he now is limited.
He is breathless just getting a drink. Always worked every available hour of overtime, and usually sacrificed his wants for the family.
Since his activities are limited— I Have been trying to convince him to take piano lessons now and see our old piano restored! I told him there is no justice in this world if he doesn’t get to enjoy life more now. He has always been the first one to help someone else!! I would love to see him gather his children and grandchildren around the piano since he can’t rough and tumble with them anymore!!
