Fifth-Generation 1926 Andrew Kohler Upright Heirloom Rebuild: Wedding Present Reveal for Our Daughter!

Fifth-Generation 1926 Andrew Kohler Upright Heirloom Rebuild: Wedding Present Reveal for Our Daughter!

Brigham Larson Pianos

This project has been one of the most meaningful of my career. Our family’s 1926 Andrew Kohler upright—an instrument that has been passed down through five generations—was fully rebuilt in my piano shop as a wedding present for our daughter, Abby, and her new husband, Beau.

The big reveal happened at their wedding reception, where I had the privilege of playing Abby’s childhood lullaby on this heirloom piano. Abby joined me on the harp, and together we shared a musical moment that celebrated both our family’s history and the start of theirs. It was unforgettable.

This piano has already carried nearly a century of family stories, music, and memories. Now, fully restored, it’s ready to serve another five generations. Projects like this are why I do what I do—they’re about more than wood, strings, and felt. They’re about preserving legacies and ensuring music remains at the heart of families for generations to come.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Beau and Abby White. May this piano continue to tell your story for decades ahead.
