Collection: Andrew Kohler Pianos

Andrew Kohler pianos were founded in Germay in the 1920's, and they have history rich in 20th century European piano craftsmanship. The Kohler family's reputation was known for building high quality pianos, each crafted with durable materials and attention to evey detail.

What I appreciate most about Andrew Kohler pianos is the construction and responsive action. Even though many of these pianos are nearly a century old, the core design, like the soundboard, bridges, and plate, have held up remarkably well to this day in age. That’s why they make such great candidates for restoration.

Because most Andrew Kohler pianos were built for family and home use, they often carry sentimental value and become heirloom instruments passed down through multiple generations. In fact, the current project in our shop is a fifth-generation rebuild — it’s been in the same family since the 1920s, survived a flood, and now is being restored so the next generation can enjoy it. That’s exactly what these instruments were built for.
